The Fishmonger

12/12/09

Wrestler Name: The Fishmonger

Height: 6”

Weight: 210lbs

Hometown: Brighton, England. Fighting out of Cape Cod, Massachusetts

Alignment: Tweener (Changes between heel and face to try and optimize his fishmonger trade with WWCF wrestlers)

Gimmick Description: A fishmonger who has taken up wrestling as a form of second income. While not in the ring, The Fishmonger will always be trying to sell off some of his prized catches.
While other wrestlers might be backstage talking themselves up or lifting weights, the fishmonger will either be preparing fish for sale, or trying to get fellow wrestlers to buy a fish or two.
Due to the job, The Fishmonger has a distinct smell to him, which other wrestlers don’t take too kindly to.

Bio and History- A fishmonger who catches, prepares and sells his own fish. Has gained muscle mass, enhanced speed and grappling abilities by wrestling fish that either are too strong for his fishing rod or get tangled in his trawlers net.
With trade dying down The Fishmonger decided he needed a secondary form of income. One day while wrestling with a Shark caught in his net, the idea of becoming a wrestler popped into his head as the shark appeared to tap out with its pectoral fins while The Fishmonger had it in a full nelson.

When back on dry land The Fishmonger looked up a wrestling coach, and spent the next year intensely training after catching the morning fish and selling them.
Becoming a hit on various small local federations, The Fishmonger has decided he was sick of being the big fish in a small pond, and has now come to the WWCF to try and make it in the big ocean.
He’s here to prove that small fish can swim upstream.

Appearance: White Mohawk with Grey tips. Slightly pale skin tone, with defined and toned muscles for someone his size and weight.

Apparel: On entrance has a long white fishmongers coat, with Grey trim. Also carries a fishhook and rope to the ring.
Once in the ring the coat, hook, and rope are removed to show a white waistcoat, white bottoms and white boots, all with Grey trim.

Fighting Style: Grapple/technical/submission.

Theme Music: Salmon Dance by The Chemical Brothers

Entrance Description: Lights go out, and theme music hits. The Fishmonger enters when the intro to the song is over, and hits his signature taunt/pose on either end of the entrance ramp (pretending to cast off a fishing line into the crowd, then reeling them in for the big catch).
The Fishmonger then runs down the ramp, and slows down at ringside, and then proceeds to go around the ring as if he was swimming like a fish (Drops hook and rope at ringside).
After one and a half times around the ring, The Fishmonger rolls in the ring, and flails around on his side and back in the ring, like a fish out of water. The after a couple of flails the Fishmonger makes it to his feet to hit his pose again in all four corners of the ring.
If out before his opponent, The Fishmonger will then sit on the top turnbuckle waiting for his opponent pretending to be fishing.
